A major campaign has been launched by the Dryden Regional Health Centre to raise funds for a new Ultrasound machine.
The Hospital is trying to secure $180,000.
CEO Wade Petranik says the current machine is outdated and needs to be replaced.
The Hospital has already received $50,000 from the Lions Club family and $25,000 from Dryden Rotary.
They have also received a $5,000 donation from the estate of John Gillon, who passed away earlier this year.
Over 2,500 Ultrasound exams are performed annually at the Health Centre.
The Province doesn’t provide funding for equipment expenses.
