The provincial government is being urged to scrap a proposal that could see seniors pay for a hunting and fishing licence.
The idea was put forward in a discussion paper for the Ministry of Natural Resources earlier this year.
Kenora Mayor Dave Canfield is strongly opposed.
Canfield suggests the Ministry of Natural Resources is already charging too much for hunting and fishing licence’s and has priced itself out of the market.
Natural Resources Minister Bill Mauro insists the government hasn’t made any decision yet on whether to implement a fee for seniors to hunt and fish.
