The future is bright for the Northwestern Ontario economy according to the CEO of the Thunder Bay Economic Development Commission.
Steve Demmings was in Dryden Wednesday to meet with local businesses and speak to members of the Dryden Rotary Club.
Demmings says we have a skilled workforce and a booming mining industry.
He says making investments to improve our roads, airports and railways is critical to keep outside company’s interested in Northwestern Ontario.
Demmings says Municipalities have to be aggressive and proactive in order to attract investment.
He notes Thunder Bay has already seen major economic spin-offs from the mining industry and notes it won’t be long until outlying communities like Dryden will see the same.
Demmings adds Northwestern Ontario is ahead of the game in economic prosperity.
