Future of FedNor Debated

The FedNor issue remains a hot topic in Northern Ontario.
Kenora Liberal MP Roger Valley claims the Conservative Government plans
to dismantle the economic program for the North.
However, Bill Brown who finished second to Valley in the Federal
vote, says its alive and well with the appointment of Tony Clement as FedNor
Minister.
Brown stresses the Conservative Government never had plans to scrap
the program.
He is confident Clement will carry on with a number of the FedNor
initiatives.
