Future of Northwestern Ontario Addressed at 1 Day

With the Region facing an aging workforce and skill shortages, new strategies are being drafted to address problem areas.
Various agencies, Government officials and the region’s movers and shakers are hosting a workshop in Thunder Bay today that is being presented by 2 groups including the Northwest Training and Adjustment Board.
NTAB Manager Keith Sveinson says aboriginal employment and building a strong workforce are among the issues that will be discussed.
Sveinson says Government officials will be on hand and delegates will draft an action plan that they hope will lead to economic prosperity.
