Gang Issues Discussed During 2 Day Conference

Gang issues were highlighted during a 2-day conference in Dryden.
Law enforcement experts from across the Country sat down with Dryden Police to discuss prevention techniques.
Detective-Sergeant Anne Tkachyk says prevention starts at a young age.
Tkachyk says gangs are a serious social problem across the country and Dryden is not immune.
However, she says its difficult to know at this time the extent of the problem.
Tkachyk stresses City Police are working with youth to ensure they don’t get mixed up in gang activity.
