Garry Parkes Machin Mayor Profile

Garry Parkes is seeking the Mayor’s seat in Machin.
Parkes has spent 15-plus years on Council and has served one term as Mayor.
He’s Chair of the Machin Housing Corporation and serves as a paramedic with the Fire Department.
Parkes says the nominees have some good ideas and he would like to implement them if he’s elected.
His priority is keeping taxes as low as possible as well as reducing water rates.
He notes aging roads need to be upgraded as well.
