Gas Tax Money for North

The Federal Government has agreed to allocate $5.7-million in
gas tax money to improve roads in Northern Ontario.
Some 196 unincorporated areas are expected to benefit from the funds.
Those areas generally include remote regions without municipal
organization.
The Northwest will receive $2.6-million.
Eligible projects include culvert replacements, road realignments,
resurfacing, safety upgrades and other improvements.
