Gearing Up For Fire Prevention Week

The Dryden Fire Service has lots planned for National Fire Prevention Week!
Information Officer Reagan Breeze says the theme this year is “Preventing Kitchen Fires”.
The kick-off is happening this Saturday at Walmart from 10 until 2, and Breeze invites folks to stop by and pick up information packages that they will be handing out.
As the week goes on, Breeze says they will be having two demonstrations on Wednesday from 4 until 7 at the Fire Hall on Colonization Avenue.
One will be an auto extrication and the other will be a “turkey fryer fire”, which ties in with Thanksgiving.
In addition, the Dryden Fire Service has teamed up with LCBO, and Breeze says if you see firefighters bagging your liqour, there’s a reason for it.
Breeze says they see a lot of people cooking while intoxicated, and they want to get the message out that’s not acceptable.
