It’s the official kick-off to the Norseman Festival in Red Lake.
Rock the Runway is Friday and Saturday.
Chair Duane Riddell says everything gets going tonight with a meet-and-greet and special plaque unveiling in memory of former Norseman organizer Ron Robinson.
Riddell says Robinson was key in the development of the park and the long time organizer of the Norseman Festival.
He notes things heat up Saturday at the Red Lake Regional Airport.
The David James Band and Tin Pan Alley will be performing and there will also be a static display, a show and shine as well as vendors and food.
Of course folks will be interested to see the aircraft on hand.
Riddell says they will have some military aircraft, Dash-8, Griffin, Harbour 2, King Air from the Department of National Defence and local Norseman.
