GIS Increase Requested

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty is calling for an increase in the amount of money seniors receive from the Federal Government.
During debate in the House of Commons, Rafferty stated doubling the guaranteed income supplement would go a long way to help seniors who are struggling financially.
Diane Ablonczy, the Minister responsible for seniors, says G-I-S is currently raised annually with the cost of living.
