Northwestern Ontario could see warmer weather and less

rainfall, due to Global Warming.

The region will experience long periods of drought,

according to Ministry Of Natural Resources Aquatic

Specialist Terry Marshall.

Marshall says the warmer temperatures will impact area

lakes.

The warmer weather will also mean an earlier fire

fighting season, and a change in our forest cover.

Marshall says by 2040 Black Spruce and Jackpine trees

are expected to dramatically decrease.
