Twenty Seven year old Leslie MacDonald of Halifax is riding her bike across Canada.
She’s doing the ride to raise money and awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
ALS or Lou Gehrig’s is a degeneration of motor neurons.
At 19 Macdonald’s father was diagnosed with ALS.
She says she watched as he lost motor skills such as walking, talking, and eating.
After her father’s death, MacDonald decided to bike across Canada for her dad and ALS.
MacDonald will be in Dryden on July 8.
