You want some good news today? Well here it is!
Dryden is buzzing with activity this month, with some significant long-term investments in infrastructure and the local economy coming to fruition.
There is a fairly ambitious $57M budget for growth.
The City of Dryden recently approved its 2026 budget, which leans heavily into future-proofing the community.
Waterfront Development: The city is moving forward with the purchase of land on Van Horne Avenue (formerly a 1970s water base). The goal is to turn a 30-acre area into a new residential subdivision, providing much-needed housing for the growing population.
Infrastructure Facelift: Major work is slated for Duke Street, including $3.4 million for surface reconstruction and over $2 million for underground water and sewer main replacements.
Recreation Wins: Keep an eye out for $1.5 million in upgrades to the Sandy Beach Leisureplex and $650,000 for brand-new pickleball courts, most of which is being covered by external grants.
And that is…..’Good News’ – because your day could always use a little goodness.
