Good Showing for Golfers

Local golfers fared well at the Manitoba Optimist Junior Open
Championship on the weekend.
Red Lake’s Brock Helgeson recorded a top 5 finish in the Boys 14 and
15 year-old Division with a 2-round 158.
Helgeson was 15-shots behind the winner.
Peter Martone of Red Lake finished in a tie for 25th and Ian McMillan
of Dryden was 37th.
In the Boys 12 and 13 Division, Eagles Landing golfer Wade Wetelainen
finished in 4th place with a 171.
Wetelainen was 9 shots off the pace, while Ryley Pace of Red Lake
finished 7th.
