Government Funding For Internet Service

22 communities in the Northwest are one step closer to broadband high-speed internet service.
The Federal Government has announced $30,000 in funding to help communities develop business plans for the technology.
Indian Affairs Minister Bob Nault says the funding is part of the Feds commitment to have first nation communities hooked up to high-speed internet by 2005.
Kenora, Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, Emo and Fort Frances received the bulk of the funding.
