The provincial government is being urged to get the ball rolling again on the twinning project of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kenora.
Kenora M.P. Greg Rickford says they project has been stalled for too long.
He’s also seeking a commitment from the province to twin the entire stretch of Highway 17 from the Manitoba Border all the way to the City of Kenora.
Rickford blames the Ministry of Transportation’s inability to negotiate a deal with Shoal Lake #39 First Nation for holding the project up.
