Government workers represented by OPSEU are rallying today in Thunder Bay because they feel the government’s latest contract offer isn’t up to snuff.
They gathered at the Government building on Red River Road.
Thunder Bay OPSEU Spokesperson Tom Berube says working conditions are already unmanageable.
Berube says he has people who work without taking their breaks and they try to make benchmarks with teams half the size they were.
He says these people are just trying and fighting to get the benchmarks, and there’s a high stress level in that too.
