Still room for improvement for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board when it comes to math scores.
The latest Grade 9 test scores are out and the Board is below the provincial average.
33% of students in the applied category met the Ontario standard, compared to 47% province wide.
81% of those in academic math were at or above standards.
The Ontario average was 85%
However, the Board did show improvement in both categories compared to last year.
The number of students meeting the provincial standard went up 5% in both the applied and academic field.
The Board says they will continue to strengthen their current programs in order to boost numbers.
