Grade 9 Students Get Good Grades

Grade 9 students in the Keewatin-Patricia School District, who took province-wide math tests in the last school year, ranked well above the provincial average.
For students, who are headed to university, 59-percent achieved the provincial standard of 70-percent on the tests.
The average across Ontario is 50-percent.
School Board Superintendant Janet Wilkinson says the results are encouraging considering the new curriculum is more difficult and the province keeps raising the bar higher.
