Graduating Ice Dogs Forward Commits To SAIT

One of the more popular members of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs is moving on to play college hockey in Calgary, Alberta.

20-year-old Matt Houston has decided to stay in his home town to attend the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Houston will suit up for the Trojans in the strong Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference.

Appearing in 135 career SIJHL games, Houston scored 52-times and helped set-up 78 others for 130-points.

He was also a second team league all-star last season.

Ice Dogs President Mike Sveinson says Houston meant a lot to the organizaiton both on and off the ice.
