The Ontario Government has appointed former Supreme
Court Justice Frank Iacobucci to lead discussions on
forestry related issues with Grassy Narrows.
Iacobucci says his team will lead talks focussing on
sustainable forest management, tree cutting methods and
interim protection for the First Nation.

Grassy Narrows has been complaining to the Province for
years that forestry operations are destroying their
traditional land.
Iacobucci feels the upcoming discussions between the
Provincial Government, First Nation and Private Sector
will result in a final solution.
