After months of waiting, the provincial government has finally announced who will be heading up the new Local Health Integration Network in northwestern Ontario.
The network will replace the old Northwest District Health Council and Gwen Dubois-Wing has been appointed chief executive officer.
Michael Gravelle is the Liberal M.P.P. for Thunder Bay-Superior North and believes the health network will improve the delivery of health care services in the region.

The Local Health Integration Network will be based out of Thunder Bay, but will be responsible for health planning
and funding health care initiatives in the Kenora, Lake Superior and Rainy River Districts.
