The former Liberal Government’s Minister of Northern Development and Mines is now going to be his party’s critic on the post.
MPP Michael Gravelle tells us he’ll be keeping his eyes on the Ford government in the coming days.
“We’ve always made major investments in our northern highways program,” Gravelle notes.
“I hope it will continue to be a real priority under the new government, particularily with Minister [Greg] Rickford in the position of Northern Development and Mines.”
He also pledges to make sure the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund continues to see funding.
Other issues he will be critiquing include the Ring of Fire.
Gravelle notes it may be difficult, since his party doesn’t have official status, and therefore he can’t speak as much in the legislature. (File Photo)
