Red Lake’s Nicholas Dumontier picked up NORWOSSA Gold at the Nordic Ski Championship Tuesday in Atikokan.
Dumontier finished the 4.5-kilometre race in just over 14-minutes, a full minute in front of Kenora’s Erik Lockhart and Dryden’s Kjell Schmidt.
On the Junior Girls side, Heidi Hutchinson of Dryden High School finished 4th, only 5-minutes behind the winner.
In the Senior Girls Division, Morgan Reilly of Atikokan finished with a bronze medal, while fellow Voyageur Peter Sorensen picked up a silver in the Senior Boys event.
