Greg Rickford Appointed To Cabinet

Kenora MP Greg Rickford has received a major promotion.
Rickford has been named Minister of State of Science and Technology and head of FedNor.
Rickford says he’s excited to take charge of northern Ontario’s economic development program.
He says he has big shoes to fill on both fronts but is excited about the opportunity.
Rickford stresses his main priority is putting an emphasis on strategic investment that translates into jobs for northerners.
Rickford has also been asked by Prime Minister Harper to take the lead in the Ring of Fire project in northern Ontario.
He replaces Gary Goodyear as Minister of Science and Tony Clement as FedNor.
