Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford is keeping a close eye on Tuesday’s U.S. Senate vote on the Keystone XL pipeline.
The Kenora MP says the government has proved its an environmentally and financially sound project for the U.S. and Canada.
Rickford isn’t predicting the eventual outcome but is hoping the project is pushed through.
The U.S. Senate is expected to approve the project, however President Barak Obama still has the power to veto it.
