Wednesday (at midnight) is the deadline for Greyhound to decide whether its pulling out of Northern Ontario.
So far the company has been mute about its plans for its routes across the region.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says there are indications that other companies could pick up the slack if Greyhound drops the route.
Gravelle says he’s been in touch with the Ministry of Transportation and as of Tuesday, they still hadn’t heard anything from the company.
Meantime, Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton believes Greyhound bus service will continue west of Dryden.
Hampton says a deal struck between the company and Manitoba Government will allow service to continue to Dryden, but notes its unclear what will happen east of the community.
