GUILTY

A long investigation & legal case came to an end Tuesday in Kenora.
Former accounts admininstrator for the Town of Sioux Lookout. Beverly Carson, entered as plea of guilty to charges of theft over $5,000.
The 38 year old was given a 14 month conditional sentence, 1 year probation & ordered to perform 500 hours of community service.
Court was told Carson took funds from the Town & Non-Profit housing corporation on 37 different occasions between December 1997 & October 1999.
She has also been ordered to repay $10,241 in “regular & reasonable monthly payments”
