Ontario Provincial Police are offering a way for residents to get rid of unwanted or illegal firearms.
During the month of April they are holding a gun amnesty in collaboration with the Dryden Police Service.
The gun amnesty is for any resident who wishes to voluntarily surrender unwanted or illegally-owned firearms, other weapons, accessories or ammunition.
No amnesty will be offered for people who turn in weapons that have been used to commit a crime.
Police want to remind the public that you should not deliver guns or ammunition directly to police facilities.
