Kenora residents can celebrate a local angler winning ‘the Superbowl of bass fishing’ later this week!
Kenora’s Jeff ‘Gussy’ Gustafson became the first Canadian and second-ever international angler to win the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Classic, the world’s largest professional bass fishing tournament, on the Tennessee River late last month.
A Meet and Greet event with Gussy is now scheduled for Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre in Kenora, with photos, autographs and light refreshments expected.
The city says everyone is welcome!
