Hampton approves provincial cancer drug move

The McGuinty Liberals have finally made three cancer drugs part of the province’s drug benefit plan.

Hercepton for breast cancer, navelbine for lung cancer and taxotere a drug for prostate cancer have all been approved for coverage under the benefit plan.

According to the provincial government, the cost of providing the three cancer drugs will likely be in the 148 million dollar range for the next three years.
