An offer to sit down and discuss the Province’s stance on the softwood
lumber agreement has been turned down.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton asked to meet with Premier
McGuinty and Conservative Leader John Tory to form a united front against
the deal.
The NDP Leader says the agreement coupled with soaring energy rates
will result in the closure of at least 4-more mills in Northern Ontario.
