Statistics show new motorists who take provincially
approved driver training courses in Ontario get into more
accidents than those who don’t have training.
The Auditor General’s Report claims beginner drivers who
take the courses have a 62% greater chance of getting into
a crash than other new drivers.
Kenora Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton is calling on the
Ministry of Transportation to investigate why the courses
are failing to properly educate students.
