The Provincial Government is being urged to send out
electricity rebate cheques to Ontario Residents.
NDP Leader Howard Hampton says local residents overpaid
for their hydro last year, and the province has been
sitting on more than 600 million dollars, which was
supposed to go towards energy rebates.

Hampton expects energy prices will increase again next
year, and consumers are going to need a break on their
hydro bills soon.
