The Hydro One strike continues and Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard
Hampton feels something bad could happen if the Province doesn’t settle
things soon.
Hampton notes there could be significant power outages if the
labour dispute continues.
The NDP Leader stresses the workers are responsible for lighting our
homes and it’s essential that the strike ends now.
Hampton says it’s not right for the Provincial Government to expect Hydro One engineers to take a pay cut.
He adds the Premier cannot treat the electrical workers
any different than others.
Staff have been on strike over wages and benefits as well
as other issues.
