Hampton on roads funding

NDP leader Howard Hampton says he has mixed feelings about yesterday’s provincial budget.

He says while the McGuinty government has pledged to increase funding for roads in northern Ontario, he says its still not enough to correct some of the problem areas in the region.

N004 Q: …next year. (23 secs.)

Hampton also says the government has agreed to reduce the stumpage fees as they pertain to oriented strandboard mill’s, but that still doesn’t help out the pulp and paper,
and sawmills in this region.
