NDP Leader Howard Hampton is asking the Eves Government to immediately allocate emergency funding to communities in Sunset Country.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP says hundreds of people are stranded because many highways in the region are flooded or washed out.
Hampton says the highway closures could potentially cost the economy millions of dollars.
Hampton is asking the Ministry of Municipal Affairs to quickly pass requests for disaster relief.
