The strike by civil servants has entered day number three with many residents discouraged by the inability to access many provincial government services.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says his constituency offices have been swamped with calls this week.
Hampton says many people are concerned about problems contacting the family responsibility office.
The office ensures that support payments are made by spouses that are separated or divorced.
Hampton adds other concerns include the inability to apply for things like health cards and drivers licenses.
