Hampton wants federal dollars

A meeting took place Sunday night between the Prime Minister and federal leader of the NDP, and Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says it was about getting some things done.
Hampton says the federal government has made some promises to the municipalities in Canada, and it’s time for them to come through.
The local MPP says voters will likely go to the polls soon, but other things can be done right now…

N007 17 secs o/c…start to happen.

Hampton says such things as money from gas taxes and funding for child care should be forwarded to the municipalities as soon as possible.
