Happy Birthday Canada!

Its a great day to be a canuck!
Canada is celebrating its 139th birthday Saturday and as always July
1st activities will be held all day in Dryden.
The festivities start at 8am with a pancake breakfast at
the Legion, the triathlon and a parade.
Chamber of Commerce Spokesperson Jamil Muxlow says the action doesn’t
stop there.
Kids games, entertainment, windsurfing regatta, dragon
boat races and a volleyball tournament are other planned events.
The fireworks will be launched off Flatrock at dusk.
In Wabigoon, a pancake breakfast get’s things going at 8 o’clock at
the Community Hall.
Several events are planned for 1 o’clock at the school.
Activities in Red Lake get going at Rahill Beach at 12:30 with water
games, beach volleyball, kids games and a tug-of-war.
The fireworks display will be at twilight at Haywards Marina Docks in
Cochenour.
In Ear Falls, July first celebrations start at 11:30 with a kids
parade.
A number of events are planned on the waterfront during the afternoon
and an auction and family street dance is scheduled for 7 o’clock.
The fireworks will go off at 10:30 on the waterfront.
