One of the biggest parties of the summer is back.
Harbourfest will take over the Kenora Harbourfront over the next three days, after a three year lay-off.
Chair of the Harbourfest committee Heather MacMurphy and says they are excited to be back.
“It has just been an overwhelming couple of years for us not being able to hold our event,” says MacMurphy.
“We are just elated to be able to bring it back to the Kenora Harbourfront. Our board of directors has been working so hard to get everything back up and running after a two year hiatus.”
Harbourfest will start tonight under the White Cap Pavilion and and there will be daytime activities Saturday and Sunday with Family Fest, the antique boat parade and the car show on Sunday.
The fireworks display will take place on Sunday night at 10:45.
In Sioux Lookout, the Blueberry Festival begins this afternoon.
The opening ceremonies take place at noon.
Over 100 events will take place over the next 10 days.
