Harbourfest Cancelled For 2020

One of the more popular music festivals in northwestern Ontario won’t be going ahead this summer.

Harbourfest in Kenora has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Chair Heather MacMurphy says this is the first time in 29 years the three day festival won’t be held.

“We understand its for the best of our volunteers, our vendors, our sponsors, our partners, the entertainers and the general public to re-schedule” says MacMurphy.

“Even if the current restrictions were to be lifted, I don’t think this is the thing to be doing.”

MacMurphy says if there is any good news is that the same six bands have agreed to come back in 2021.

Harbourfest is offering full refunds for tickets until July 1st, but if you decide to hang on to them, you will get one free ticket for each concert ticket you purchased.
