Some anxious moments for an Atikokan couple this morning.
52 year old James Clark was piloting a single engine Cessena when he realized there was trouble with the landing gear & called the emergancy in to the Dryden Airport.
After 2 attempts to land in hopes the gear would lock itself in place, Clark cut the engine & glided in for a belly landing.
He & wife Pamela were taken by ambulance to the main terminal to be checked out but other than some rattled nerves are said to be OK.
Fire crews from Dryden & Oxdrift responded but were not called on to put out any flames.
Transport Canada is investigating.
