Harry Dzeoba

Harry Dzeoba from Dryden served as a paratrooper in the First Canadian Paratroop Division inWW2. He is seen here in front of a C-47 Dakota (DC-3 in civilian service). The aircraft features the hand-painted, black and white ‘invasion stripes’ that were applied to allied aircraft just before the Normandy landings.

Harry returned to Dryden after the war. He married, raised a family, and managed the LCBO for years. He also became a private pilot and enjoyed his time ‘in the air.”

Harry passed away 24 January 2014
