The OPP say they will be patrolling highways, roads, lakes, rivers and trails over the Labour Day weekend.
Officers will be targeting impaired, distracted and aggressive drivers.
They will also be ensuring that people are wearing seatbelts and children are in proper car seats.
Boats will be checked for drinking operators and life-jacket use.
Police say there have been more collisions, but fewer deaths and injuries, on OPP patrolled roads so far this year compared with the same point in 2010.
OPP add they are taking to social media to spread the word about safe driving.
Have a Safe Labour Day Weekend
