The new Hawk Lake Bridge on Highway 17 between Dryden and Kenora is finally open to traffic.
The overpass, diverts traffic over the Canadian Pacific Railway mainline.
Since 1935, movement has been restricted under the rail line because of the clearance height.
However, the new 2-kilometre section now has no height limitations.
The $12.7-million project was completed by a Toronto firm.
