The City of Dryden is hoping to make Hazardous Waste Day an annual event once again.
The program has been downsized to every second year due to funding concerns.
However, Dryden has inked a funding agreement with Stewardship Ontario, so officials hope to offer the popular event every year.
Stewardship Ontario has agreed to pay the City $2,200 per one tonne of items collected.
328-people dropped off their hazardous goods for free this past Saturday.
