Health Care Plan Unveiled

A 3-year Integrated Health Services plan has been developed for the region.
The Northwest Local Health Integration Network has released the report, which has been months in the making.
Executive Director Gwen Dubois-Wing says they will be working with their health care partners to implement the plan.
The strategy calls for improved wait times in local emergency rooms, improved access to primary, long term and specialty care, and chronic disease prevention.
It also has recommendations on retaining and attracting Health Care professionals.
