Health Care Warning For Those Out Of Province

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell is issuing a warning to local residents.
Campbell says she’s received reports of folks getting hit with hefty health care bills when traveling out of province.
Campbell notes OHIP benefits don’t work everywhere.
She says it’s not uncommon for an Ontario resident to pay $700 for an ambulance in Winnipeg.
Campbell encourages getting some form of travel insurance, even if it’s for a day trip.
